A cooperation protocol was signed between our university and the General Directorate of Prisons and Detention Houses for the establishment of a "Model Child Education Facility."

The protocol was signed by Rector Prof. Dr. Fahrettin GÖKTAŞ and General Director Enis Yavuz YILDIRIM during the 20th Regional Meeting of Probation held in Elazığ.

The signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Justice Ramazan CAN, Governor of Elazığ Numan HATİPOĞLU, AK Party Elazığ Members of Parliament Prof. Dr. Erol KELEŞ and Ejder AÇIKKAPI, Deputy Mayor Nazif BİLGİNOĞLU, Chief Public Prosecutor Aşkın YEĞİN, and Bar Association President Melih EFE.

The protocol aims to reduce the criminal tendencies of child offenders, ensure they spend their time in detention productively, support their reintegration into society post-release, and promote their awareness of cultural, legal, and moral values. Additionally, it aims to establish the new child education facility as a model institution.
